Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)

XAT Entrance Exam is a national level MBA Entrance Exam conducted by XLRI. XLRI conducts the test on behalf of the Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). The test score is being used by more than 100 institutes for the admission. XAT exam scores are accepted by several prestigious MBA institutes like XLRI, S.P.Jain, XIME, XIMB, and GIM.

The Xavier Aptitude Test is an all-India test conducted by Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI) as an entrance exam for admission to the post graduate programs in management courses of several management institutes all over India.

Eligibility

  • A candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university or a deemed university.
  • Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor�s degree and awaiting results can also apply.

    XAT Exam Pattern – Marking Scheme

Every question carries one mark which means candidates will get one marks for the right answer. There is negative marking as well. 0.25 marks or 1/4th of the total marks of a question will be deducted for an incorrect response. Unattempted questions also have negative marking. Last year, beyond 8 unattempted questions, there was a deduction of 0.05 marks per unattempted question. This number may change this year as it was 12 in the last to last year.

Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP):

  • SNAP is a common written test for the admission to all the Post-Graduate Institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed) University.
  • While there is only one application for the SNAP written test, you need to apply separately to each institute within Symbiosis International University, as per the details given on the respective website of each institute.

Eligibility

Graduates in any discipline from any Statutory University with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) for all the MBA Programmes, except the ones which require graduates with specific subject specializations (mentioned on the respective institute websites).

  • Please note that the SNAP 2018 test will be computer based test.
  • SNAP Test duration is of 120 minutes.
  • Date: December 16, 2018; Time: 14.00 hrs. – 16.00 hrs.
  • SNAP Test is an objective test. Each question has 4 responses (Only for Normal Questions). Candidate should choose an appropriate response
  • Normal Questions carry 1 mark for each question and Special Questions carry 2 marks for each question.
  • Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks for Normal Questions and for Special Questions also.
  • For special questions in each section will have blanks where answers will have to be entered by the candidate by using the virtual keyboard. For example, if question is “What is the capital of Australia?” The candidate needs to enter the answer as CANBERRA by using the virtual keyboard.
